Photo Albums

I have a question rather than a comment, I received some old photo albums and all the pictures are on the older type pages. The kind that was very sticky. Of course the longer they were on this type page, the more glued the pictures became. My problem? How do I remove the pictures without tearing them ? Is their anything I can use to do this
and save the pictures?

If you can find it (they've stopped making it for now due to environment reasons) UnDu will remove them from the page. If you cant find it..try running dental floss under the picture. 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

Un-Du is sill available at scrapbooking stores. I carry it in my store and wouldn't want to be without it. You can also use waxed dental floss to help lift the pictures without tearing after you use the Un-Du adhesive remover. Good luck saving your pictures! PS The reason it is hard to find it is flamable and some companies won't ship it 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

Actually betsylou is right. UnDo has been taken off the market. There was/still is a problem with the sale of it in California. I have had tons of calls and orders for it and I'm sold out. I can not get any from my suppliers until the situation has been taken care of. However, there are still stores out there that have stock and if you can find it, great!! It does work and I would contact your local craft stores to see if you can find some.

Have a Great Day!

I removed some from the old sticky albums by placing the album in a warm place before I did the dental floss method. It worked pretty well, and then the ones that were stubborn came right off with the UnDo. Do you find this valuable?

I have found that using a hair dryer to warm up the photos as you gradually lift of them off works well. Do you find this valuable?

You might even try taking each individual page out of the album, placing it in the freezer for a few minutes, just long enough for the glue to breakdown and then slide waxed gloss underneath each picture. I did this with an album page with photos of past generations of my DHs family. Try doing this on an abum page with just one or two photos on it the first time to see if it works for you. 3  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?
