The place for me
Nov 29 2006, 11:11 AM EST Well I certainly hope this area will expand and become a great place to share ideas and inspiration. I have been using a computer for 20 years so it was only natural that I would incorporate it into my new hobby. I do not want to do print outs of completed pages but rather combine elements printed out from the computer (I am a digital photographer too) with all the beautiful papers out there. I want the dimension and texture you can only get by layer elements on the page. The internet is a great resource to be able to pick up copyright free images that can be turned into all sorts of page embellishments by layering with mats. Then there is the ease of being able to size an image/font to fit your page exactly, no going to the store to find a penguin that is only 2" tall, if the one I have on the computer is 4" I just scale it down and print it out. You don't have to be restricted to plain printer paper either. Most newer printers allow you to print on all sorts of paper: cardstock, vellum, transparencies, envelopes, even material! When it comes to digital scrapbooking if you can imagine it you can have it. 7 out of 8 found this valuable. Do you? |
