Getting Started
Oct 18 2008, 3:27 PM EDT
In order to make sure I only buy the supplies I need for a particular project, I start by getting organize at home. You need to have your album already purchased/picked out and your plastic inserts. I then organize my photos and place them in the order I want in the album using each insert. I then proceed to fill the inserts with any paper I want to use for background. I add my embellishments/stickers/borders, etc. Once I know I have included most of what I want to use that I already have in my supplies, I take the whole album with me to the scrapbook/craft store. I then proceed to buy what I need to fill the blank pages. This way, I only purchase what I need for each page, able to match paper and colours with my photos, theme, etc. I learnt this tip from my daughter Samantha who is 19 and has been scrapbooking with since she was 16!
