RE: Any ideas or links on how to build shapes from shape cutters?
Feb 17 2008, 3:57 PM EST The first one is to make a baby's bib. Cut 2 oval shapes in ascending sizes( for reference pink will be the largest and blue the smaller one. . With decorative edged scissors trim around the outside of each oval. Using a small baby item related punch, punch out one design from the blue oval. Next glue the blue oval on top of the pink oval. You will have a small amount of the pink oval showing. Using a small circle punch, go to the top of the glued ovals and punch out the opening for the neck. You can use the the pink or the blue circle to make a baby rattle to match the bib. Use a smaller punch and punch out another circle (depending on which color you want. You will also need to cut out a small skinny rectangle for the handle. Glue the small circle onto the handle and then glue the large circle onto the oposite end of the handle. Decorate the rattle as desired you can make are flowers. You will need the following size circle punches. 1/4" and 5/8". A 7/16" heart punch. Punch out 4 various colors of cardstock from the 5/8" punch (puch out one of the circles from green cardstock. . 3 of one color (yellow or brown) from the 1/4" punch. 1 red 1/4" cirlce from red. 2 red hearts. Cut out small deep notches from around three of the large circles (the number you cut out depends on what size you want the petals of the flowers to be. YOu will also need to cut 3 thin strips from the green cardstock. Take the green circle and cut out two petals. You will have an hourglass shaped piece left over (to be used for the top two leaves. Glue the one large circle onto the top of each stem. Take the hour-glass shaped and tuck it behind two of the flowers. Glue the small circles into the centers of the flowers. Position the other leaves where you want them. lay the hearts so points face each other. Glue the small red circle onto the middle of the bow. Attach red strips to the bow for the tails Glue onto the stems. 4 out of 4 found this valuable. Do you? |
