Origami Boxes
This is a picture of the origami boxes I use to organize my scrapbook embellishments.
I like to make origami boxes and store my supplies in them. I figure out the size of the drawer I want to organize and then make the right size box and fill up the drawer with lots of paper boxes. By making the boxes I solve 2 problems. I have a great way to store embellishments of various sizes and I use up some of my otherwise unused paper stash.

I have collected a small fortune of ribbons and fibers and am beginning to find it difficult to store in a manner that allows me to find the them when I want them.
I started by storing them in baggies, advanced to cute little jars, then I went to putting the spools on a dowel rod in my closet. It all just became so overwhelming.
I have recently changed to this cute card idea. I took some cardboard or chipboard and cut it down to a size that will fit into a plastic shoebox. I chose 3 x 7 inches. Next, I created a a color scheme for each card. Now I can easily find all of the fibers and ribbons at a quick glance. So much easier and much more organized.
When I recently moved into my husband's old house I found these old miniature lockers in the garage that, when turned on it's side, was four perfect shelves for storing and organizing my scrapbook stuff. After some cleaning, a paint job and shelf paper, I was able to stackboxes filled with chipboard, stickers, paper, etc... It's right next to my scrapbook work zone so I can easily grab stuff. When I'm done, I just close the little locker doors and the mess of chaos is gone. It'll still be there when I'm ready to do major organizing!

My best solution is to have a LOT of space!!! In our new home I repurposed some furniture that we needed for additional kitchen storage at our old house. A bakers rack houses stamp sets, ribbons, pucnhes and other tools, a buffet makes a great surface for storing boxes and books and tons of paper fits inside. A large old dining room table is my work surface and I used some storage cubes to store all of my magazines (I never toss a scrapbook magazine!) I also use rolling carts for portable storage. I'll post some photos tomorrow when we have better lighting!
I buy sewing pattern storage boxes (about $3 at Jo-anns). I cover them with pretty papers that match the decor of my home (my scrap space is in my living room). I cut down file folders to fit inside and then label each folder for a holiday, special event or whatever. On the outside of the folder I jot down my thoughts or important details. I put the corresponding photos and any other memorabilia inside. Then when it comes time to do that page everything is together & all I have to do is pick paper and embellishments.

I have a small area we called the "panic room" it is a small area unser our stairs with the hot water tank but a ton of storage space. Hubby gave me that area to store. we bought (4) 4 drawer storage cases at wally world really cheap like 4 bucks a pop and then at joanns I got a tiny 3 drawer for papers and storing tiny things. I went through EVERYTHING i have and there is a lot... we also bought 4 storage buckets that are really cheap this time of year for christmas storage and in those I used a file folder system to file all my stickers in one box, another my larger tools andother large tools and one for shipping stuff and paper. I have everything marked as to what's in it so now I know where my gromets are and where the kit to put them on is as well. I also have a small box of all my must haves when I crop anytime. also one spot just for christmas. Kinda sounds like a lot but we spent at most 50.00 and it's all sorted and in one spot. I'll take a pic tomorrow and post it here for you to see. OHOH AND I have TONS of medication containers....I store all my little things in they are GREAt and they are being recycled rather then thrown away.

I am a big fan of the cropper hopper vertial storage for my papers. I put them in plastic pouches by brand and by theme. That way when I'm ready to work, whether in my room or at a crop, I can just grab the paper pouch I need and get to work.

When we finished our basement I had my husband build a 10ft long closet in my scraproom/office. One half is entirely floor to ceiling storage for my scrapbooking supplies...and there are plenty of them! The plastic storage on the upper shelves have boxes that close and I can pull them out and take whatever matches my project with me when I crop. I have one set of drawers that is organized by color and another set organized by themes. The best part is that I can just close the closet doors and the room is tidy in an instant!

I store all my scrap pattern paper and card stock separately in large plastic bens. I don't organize them because I like to plunder and discover. I only keep paper that is the size of my hand or larger. I also use glass jars to keep embelishements in. If you can't see you, you forget you have it. I also have a tension rods fixed horizontally between two shelves. I use these for ribbon storage. ~ Stacy A.
I would like to add something; some/most of my storage containers is in the tools/ fishing area (where you get tool boxes for men or fishing rods). they have some pretty neat containers in all different sizes and very cheap. Christy
Peg Board to the Rescue I love this peg board. Although my scrapbooking room is a work in progress I thought that I would share this pic. I like to have some of my favorite accessories and embellishments out in the open to keep me inspired.

After a few years of reading, Scrapbooks Etc. I had quite a mountain of magazines. But I didn't want to throw them away because I am huge scraplifter. So I (gently) tore out each page idea, product listing, and project idea and put them in page protectors. Now after I have read the magazine 10x over, I can keep the pages I love and recycle the rest. The best part is that my sheets are organized in 1, 2, 3, 4 photo layouts (projects/cards with their own divider) so when I have 3 photos I can immediately find 50 ideas of 3 photo layouts. It is wonderful!
