Rule of ThirdsThis is a featured page

Definition:

Design principle that divides a photo or page into thirds, both horizontally and vertically; placing subjects at any of the four intersections of these lines makes a compelling composition.

The rule of thirds is also great for figuring out where to put the title or main photo on your page. Sometimes I start with the rule of thirds when deciding where to place my elements.

Here is a page that I created showing the rule of thirds. I placed lines on my photo to illustrate the rule.
