I used an actual
jean pocket. (I tore my pants so I put it to good use.) This layout was to
show the itinerary of our vacation. It lists what we did each day on our
Arizona Vacation. To create this layout: For the
title I took a sissors and cut out a row out of a scrapbook paper. I cut it into
2 pieces. I used an
alphabet punch set to give me the
title. I used
Sculpey clay to make the year "
2007". I added some
buttons with brown thread. I matted my photograph with green paper to give the layout a little more color. Added the "
vacation" sticker. I also used
green clay to create the
boots and cactus. To create that I used a
stencil and laid it over the clay. I took a
craft knife to cut it out. After heated I took a silver pen to outline the shapes. For the tags in the pocket, I took
3 plain white tags.
Added the scrapbook paper on top of it. Except for the very top.
I took gold embossing powder and heated it up. To get the powder to stay on a wide area I took a glue stick and covered the entire area to be embossed.
I printed the journaling on a transparency and added the fibers.Contribution by Heather Gibbs, Heather's ScrapbooksOn the
MGM page there is a
pocket on the left side. Anything can be put in there. Most likely, due to it's size, would be journaling. On the
Animal Kingdom page I put the
map of the park in the pocket. This is a great way to show it because you can still take it out and look through it. If I didn't put it in a pocket then I would probably have to glue it on which I would rather no do. I want to be able to look at it from years to come.
Other sources of
pockets on a page
would be envelopes.
