Molds are a great way to
create hand-made embellishments for your scrapbook page. There are many variations of mold patterns. Below, you will see a layout that uses
Leaf Molds and
Borders Mold.
See below the layout for a FULL description on how it was created. Mold Patterns by Makin's. I used a border mold to create the 2 long vine-like molds that cover where the 2 background papers come togethor.
These are the 2 mold patterns I used

On the left are border molds.
You can make up to 5
different shapes.

On the right are leaf mold
shapes.
It's a great way to decorate your scrapbook pages.
Figure A
FIGURE A: This is the clay
after I pressed it into the mold. You want to
make sure you have enough clay overlaying the actual mold. This way you have something to hold onto when you take your craft knife to cut it out. You don't want to ruin the mold.
FIGURE B:
FIGURE B: As you can see there's a
little shine on the top one. I didn't just want to leave it plain like the bottom one so I took some
Perfect Pearls metallic powder and brushed it on. I left the outside edges alone. Remember to do this
AFTER it's been heated. It's heated at
200 degrees for
15 minutes.
I also put powder on these
2 leaves. If you want these leaves to become part of the background you wouldn't matt them but since I wanted these to
become embellishments I put them on some matching background paper and matted them.
