Mini Albums

Mini albums are small, hand -made albums used in scrapbooking. Mini albums are made of various products -- including chipboard, card stock, paper, CD disks, paper bags, tags, coffee filters or almost any other type of flat surface that you can think of. Scrapbookers might make the entire mini album by hand, or may opt to purchase a starter book from a scrapbook or craft store. Like regular albums, mini albums can contain photographs or they can simply depict art work based on a particular theme.

Coaster Mini Album
Coaster mini albums are made from chipboard coasters or other coasters. Many craft stores sell chipboard coasters ready to decorate and assemble. A very simple project, these coasters need only be decorated and bound. TheCoaster Mini Album at this site is bound with binder rings.

Five Things I Love About You is a mini album suitable for a Valentine craft project, or with different paper, you can make it for any time of the year. The five pages are made from coin envelopes. Each page contains a tag with a space for you to write one thing you like about the recipient. It's great for kids, sweethearts or ?????

This round mini album has a St. Patrick's Day theme. It lies flat when closed but when open, stands upright and fans out in a circle. It's economical to make since is requires only four squares of card stock and a chipboard cover made from cereal box, plus whatever papers and embellishments you prefer. There are plenty of hiding places for journaling, treasures and surprises.

It's a fun project to make.

Booklet to Accompany a Gift of a Prayer Shawl

This is an accordion fold, mini album It was made to accompany a gift of a prayer shawl. The mini album contains five layouts that contain information about the prayer shawl, including a copy of the prayers used. This hand made birthday journal, entitled My Year, is wire bound using the Zutter Bind-It-All. The front and back covers contain text and shapes cut with the Cricut. The book's pages are labeled for various categories, and each page contains embellished tags with space on the back for journaling. The book utilizes an array of scrapbook and paper craft techniques, including various rubber stamping techniques, micro beads, parchment craft, altered stickers, rub-ons, paper flowers,buttons, die cuts and ribbons and other fibers.

These two hand made, wire bound garden journals are assembled using the Zutter Bind-It-All. Both journals contain spaces for seeds, graph paper for sketches, notebook paper for notes, envelopes and flaps for storing newspaper clippings, receipts, etc., and pages with layouts for photographs and journaling.
