Chipboard is a product usually made from recycled paper. Most chipboard is not archival safe, but lately some manufacturers have been producing special chipboard for the scrapbook industry. Their products are lignon free and acid free, meaning they are archival and safe to use with your photographs. Chipboard albums and chipboard embellishments are typical uses for scrapbook chipboard. The product is versatile and can be handled, decorated and assembled in many ways.
Chipboard embellishments come in a variety of shapes, including alphabets or letters, circles, brackets, squares and many more.

The product can be sanded; it can have holes punched in it; it can be painted, covered with paper and trimmed as desired.

Scrapbook Calendar Made from Chipboard Album This is a scrapbook calendar made from a Maya Road Binder Album. It is six inches square and contains calendar pages printed from a template, photographs, embellishments and birthstones and flowers for each month. HAPPY Mini Album Word BookVarious paper crafting companies sell what they call chipboard word books. The books are chipboard albums but each page is an alphabet. Birthday Book Using House Shaped Chipboard Mini Album I made this house shaped mini album using a chipboard album from Creative Imaginations. It's a birthday gift for a nine year old boy. The die cut on front is cut with the Cricut using the George and Basic Shapes cartridge.
