Adjusting ColorThis is a featured page

Fluorescent lighting often results in yellow-tinted images. An incorrectly set white balance gives the image a green cast. Adjusting color in Elements is as easy as selecting Variations from the Enhance menu. This pulls up your image with a variation of colors, and you can choose which image looks the best.

In Photoshop, use the Color Balance menu option and move the slider in the opposite direction of the color being removed. Adjust until you find the right color for your image.

Choosing Black and White

Sometimes the best option is to transform a photo into a black-and-white image. When colors in a photo aren’t coordinated and they’re impossible to work with, change the photo to black-and-white. In Elements, changing an image to black-and-white is a one-step process: Click on the Enhance menu option, select Color, then Remove Color. From there, you might want to add contrast to avoid a flat, dull image.
