My wonderful fiance is designing a scrapbooking room for me since he has recognized my fast growing obsession. Being relatively new to the hobby, but recognizing the potential for all the goodies to get out of control, I was hoping to glean some wisdom. What has been the most useful organizational tool for you and what was a waste of money and/or space? Is there anything you consider essential to building a strong workspace foundation?

Ok scrappers... I used to be able to scrapbook in my own home and sort of built my organization system around that. Well, since kids I now have to go to crops or other people's houses to be able to get anything done! What are your best ideas/products you can't live without for keeping yourself organized for scrapping on the go? I feel like I want to bring everything I own with me every time I go to a crop and I end up bringing so much I don't have room or can't find what I need and it takes too many trips to and from the car...
Any ideas to help me out? Thanks! |

I created my own display/storage rack for my rubber stamps by using different heighth but same length blocks of styrofoam. I used one fairly flat one for the base and built up to resemble a staircase. Now I can see at a glance what rubber stamps I have and select the one I want without having to rummage through a drawer or box.
