* My Favorite Tool - Scrapbooks etc. WikiEveryone has a scrapbooking tool that they can't live without. What's yours and why?

My latest favorite thing is the Crop-a-dile by We R Memory Keepers. This tool rocks the house. Not only does it punch holes and set eyelets, but it punches holes in things like metal, heavy chipboard and even clipboard (pressed wood) materials, like Decor Boardz from Junkitz! I use mine all the time, especially since I'm going through a chipboard addiction.

Sssh...don't tell, but I haven't even used mine for eyelets...the hole punching alone is so fabulous!

My favorite tool isn't sexy or exciting but it's a must-have-in-order-to-work in my book. I use my see-through ruler from The C-Thru Ruler Company on every project I work on. I love the fact that it has grid lines on it so I can use it with my craft knife to slice even photo mats and measure precisely every time. I use it to line up items to make sure my margins between elements are even and to cut thin bands that my trimmer may not be able to handle. I own a ton of these rulers and leave them all over the house, my office, even my car! It's definitely my favorite tool.

I love my guillotine paper trimmers by Tonic. I have the large one which cuts 12x12 papers. I also have the mini paper trimmer. Both are lightweight and portable, so I always take these with me to crops and whenever I teach. The large paper trimmer that I use has a 6" base and tucked under the main body is a measuring arm, which can be attached if I want even more control in cutting the papers. But even without it, I consistently get good, clean, straight cuts with my Tonic trimmer. It's one of my must-have tools.

I love creating circles in my page designs and was thrilled when I tried the EK Success Curvy Cutter. It is so easy to use and have a large variety of sizes available.

I could not scrap without my Craft Knife and Perfect Layers. I got my first set a few years ago. When they added to it with wider margins and a Perfect Square tool, I bough another set. Now my photos and mats are prefect and true and it's so easy to use.

The PERFECT PRINTING POUCH! Wouldn't print with my printer without it. Wouldn't stamp with pigment ink on vellum without it. Never had to buy special vellum markers.

The Perfect Printing Pouch allows you to get flawless ink application by wiping the surface with the pouch before printing. Picture a "felt ravioli" filled with acid free powders. The Perfect Printing Pouch works by releasing a fine coating of the powder onto the printing surface so the ink bonds to the paper. The fine powders also contain a drying agent so the ink dries almost instantly. The result is no more smearing, bleeding or resisting.

If you try printing on vellum and the ink smears and takes a long time to dry this product is a must. Ink on ribbon and other absorbent surfaces tends to bleed. The Perfect Printing Pouch works on vellum and many other surfaces such as shiny papers, textured cardstock, transparencies, twill tape, ribbon, muslin, wood, postage stamps, mulberry paper, clay, and can be used with an inkjet printer, markers, gel pens, and stamp pads. See Scrapbooks ETC 12/06 p. 125 ips on getting the most from your printer or visit http//:www.scraperfect.com

Glass baby! I had a large piece of tempered glass made to cover my scrap worktable. It's easy to clean, protects my table and I don't have to pull out a separate glass mat with size limitations when I use my craft knife. It's also great when using paint, ink, or anything else you don't want on your work surface. I got mine from a local glass shop for around $50. It does cost extra to have the glass tempered, but it's a must for safety!! Scrap on!! dawnadesigns

Well that would have to be my computer combined with the internet. The information out there is unbelievable and there are so many free items out there to use in scrapbooking. If ever I have a question I pop onto the internet and get the answers. Plus with a great inventory of images/clip art/fonts I can use it to make elements to place on traditional pages.
