Hi my name is Colleen. I have been scrapbooking for a little over 4 years and it is my little taste of sanity. I am a professional student; recently finished my masters in Biomechanical Engineering, now working on my PhD. I am a supernerd and pretty ok with it! I work with the Canadian Cadet program as an officer, teach sailing, tutor kids in math, am musically inclined and love to read.

I have been generally making a mess since my mother bought me my first stamp when I was 10. It was a frog and I still have it and I used it for everything, but it started my collection. From then on I saved my allowance to buy more and dragged my friends into it as well. When I learned to heat emboss, that became my technique of the moment. I am always the one in my group of crafty friends to try new ideas, or buy the newest tool for us all to try. I love to add to my repetoire of techniques and ideas. I scrap based on what I like and am feeling at the time, I choose things that I like, papers that I like. I don't think I have ever actually used coordinating papers from the same manufacturer for anything....because being a student criteria #1 for buying is it has to be on sale!!

I am interested in sharing ideas with others and hope that I can actually have something to show around here with so much talent around!

I am reaching the point in my addiction that I am going to need to become a consultant or instructor of some sort to expand my scrapbooking circle and horizons. I am wondering if anyone is involved with anything or has advice for jumping into the business?

I live in an area that has one small scrapstore, and 2 larger ones that rarely change what they carry. I have recently been investigating online stores, and I am wondering if anyone has favorite places to shop online other than ebay?
